I contemplated my options considering that Fusion blades would cost me a fortune, but then I thought what the heck, I’ll give it a try, use up the 3 blades it came with, and toss it if it shaves no better than the Mach 3. Well sure enough, my wife put a Fusion ProGlide Power razor in my Xmas stocking last Xmas and I was stuck with it. I was a Mach 3 Turbo user for years and resisted all notion to “upgrade” to Gillette Fusion as I wasn’t going to buy into the hype when I was already getting what I thought was a pretty good shave every day. Now I’m heading back home for a week, where my trusty old mach 3 handle which I bought almost 9 years ago is still lying around, I hope it’ll take me back !! I noticed I don’t get as close a shave with the DSC razors as well (in addition to losing a pint of blood) In any case, I retried it today and I don’t know if my hair follicles have gone haywire from using the Braun or whether the DSC blades are too sharp, but I am calling it quits if it doesn’t work well after the next shave. I stopped shaving for two days because of the traumatic experience :/ I then tried to dollar shave club – and I then realized that I had forgotten how to shave with a regular razor – went over too fast and nicked my face pretty much everywhere – now I looked like I had gone through a warzone – in fact a mole I had on the side of my face under my ear got nicked and refused to stop bleeding. In any case, what bothered me was the I had to shave against the direction of the hair follicles to get a truly clean shave and this ended up in me getting breakouts and my face looked like a a warzone after 4-5 months of the braun. It was great to start with, but I realized I never got as clean a shave as I did with the Mach 3. After 8 years I decided I’ll give something else a try and got a Braun Series 5 electric shaver after seeing my brothers in action. To chime in here – I started using the mach3 in 2005, when I went to college. I’m glad I tried it out, but the blades did not live up to their sexy handle. In the end this goes down as a failed venture. I will say that when I shaved very slowly and carefully (about 3 times longer than a usual shave) I got a very close shave from this razor–but that sort of extra time just won’t work in the daily routine. This might have contributed to the fact that this was the shortest lived cartridge of the razors I tested (Table 1). I also found that I had to shave over areas a few times to get a close shave. The placement of the blades in the cartridge also make shaving close to a nose nearly impossible. The closeness of the five blades in the cartridge mean that residue is quick to get stuck and build up. Of the three razors it was the most reluctant to fit the contours of my face. The cartridge flexes because it is plastic, but there is not a spring system or some sort of suspension. The blades are very sharp, yet the cartridge feels a bit light. My biggest concerns about this razor were the lack of flexibility of the cartridge, the closeness of the blades, and difficulty skirting the nose. I liked the handle–it is easy to grip and is of an appropriate weight. I will confess that I really hoped it would win because it looked so good. The Harry’s Winston looks very sleek it was the Rolls Royce of my razor test. In fact, I decided to order the premium Winston handle. I had high hopes when I ordered my Harry’s razor.

Using simple (and free) Analytics tools, you can monitor the performance of your digital marketing efforts to see what’s working (and what’s not). It’s Measurable | Adding to the incredible efficiency of digital marketing is how measurable it is.You can reach people who match your ideal customer with targeted advertising, stay in touch with current customers, and be seen by people who are actively looking for your products or services online. It’s Efficient | Through digital marketing, there are many different ways to connect with your ideal audience. Here are just a few reasons why digital marketing is the perfect tool for small businesses: It’s a common misconception that you need to be a big business with an even bigger budget to market yourself online, but there are ways for small businesses to affordably promote themselves online. Whether you’ve been in business for years or are just getting started, a strategic digital marketing plan can boost your business. Tip 1 | Why Digital Marketing Works For Small Businesses Here, we will break down a few of the reasons why digital marketing is so beneficial for small businesses and provide some tips to help you get started. The right can help your small business gain a competitive edge, even over larger competitors. Managing the day-to-day operations of your business can be incredibly time-consuming, leaving small business owners with little to no time to focus on their marketing.įortunately, digital marketing has become increasingly accessible for businesses of all sizes and is a highly effective way to reach new customers and grow your business. Owning and operating a small business comes with some big challenges. The reason for this is pretty clear based on the results. Gzip vs Bzip2 vs XZ Decompression Speed Performance Differences and Comparisonīy default when the compression level is not specified, gzip uses -6, bzip2 uses -9 and xz uses -6. The table below indicates the size in bytes of the linux-3.18.19.tar file after compression, the first column numbered 1.9 shows the compression level passed in to the compression tool.įirst we’ll start with the compression time, this graph shows how long it took for the compression to complete at each compression level 1 through to 9. The raw data that the below graphs have been created from has been provided in tables below and can also be accessed in this spreadsheet. The versions pf these tools were gzip 1.5, bzip2 1.0.6, and xz (XZ Utils) 5.1.2alpha. To decompress, the same command was used with the -d flag. To save and reduce CPU processing time a lower compression level can be used which will result in a lower compression ratio, using more disk space.Įach time the compression or decompression command was run, the ‘time’ command was placed in front so that we could accurately measure how long the command took to execute.īelow are the commands that were run for compression level 1:Īll commands were run with the time command, verbosity and the compression level of -1 which was stepped through incrementally up to -9. To get a higher compression ratio and save a greater amount of disk space, more CPU processing time will be required. There is an important trade off here between the compression levels between CPU processing time and the compression ratio. Compression level 9 on the other hand is the best possible compression level, however it will take the longest amount of time to complete. A compression level of 1 indicates that the compression will be fastest but the compression ratio will not be as high so the file size will be larger. The linux-3.18.19.tar file was compressed and decompressed 9 times each by gzip, bzip2 and xz at each available compression level from 1 to 9. This file was 580,761,600 Bytes in size prior to compression. With XZ it is possible to specify the amount of threads to run which can greatly increase performance, for further information see example 9 here.Īll tests were performed on linux-3.18.19.tar, a copy of the Linux kernel from. The server had 4 CPU cores and 16GB of available memory, during the tests only one CPU core was used as all of these tools run single threaded by default, while testing this CPU core would be fully utilized. The test server was running CentOS with kernel 3.10.0-229.11.1 in use, all updates to date are fully applied. For instance, compared to the fastest mode of zlib, Snappy is an order of magnitude faster for most inputs, but the resulting compressed files are anywhere from 20% to 100% bigger.Gzip, Bzip2 and XZ are all popular compression tools used in UNIX based operating systems, but which should you use? Here we are going to benchmark and compare them against each other to get an idea of the trade off between the level of compression and time taken to achieve it.įor further information on how to use gzip, bzip2 or xz see our guides below: It does not aim for maximum compression, or compatibility with any other compression library instead, it aims for very high speeds and reasonable compression. snappy 1.1.8 3.el8 i686 38 k snappy-1.1. baseos Fast compression and decompression library https BSD Snappy is a compression/decompression library. Java 8 is released with many of new features and security updates, it is also known to perform much better than older versions of Java. We can easily remove the oracle by running the below commands. There are lots of applications and websites that will not work unless you have Java installed, and more are created every day. $ sudo apt-get install oracle-java6-set-default $ sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-set-default $ sudo apt-get install oracle-java8-set-default $ sudo apt-get install oracle-java9-set-default To automatically set up the Oracle Java environment variables based on your version, Simply run the below commands. $ sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-7-oracle $ sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-8-oracle $ sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-9-oracle Say for example, you have already installed Oracle JAVA 6 and you want to switch other Oracle JAVA version such as Oracle JAVA 7, Oracle JAVA 8 & Oracle JAVA 9 you can easily switch using the below commands but make sure all the Oracle packages should have installed on your system. $ echo oracle-java6-installer shared/accepted-oracle-license-v1-1 select true | sudo /usr/bin/debconf-set-selectionsģ) Switching between Oracle Java versions $ echo oracle-java7-installer shared/accepted-oracle-license-v1-1 select true | sudo /usr/bin/debconf-set-selections $ echo oracle-java8-installer shared/accepted-oracle-license-v1-1 select true | sudo /usr/bin/debconf-set-selections $ echo oracle-java9-installer shared/accepted-oracle-license-v1-1 select true | sudo /usr/bin/debconf-set-selections To install any of the Oracle product, we should accept the license agreement before proceeding the product installation, The Wepupd8 team created the script to automatically accept the Oracle license by running below command. $ sudo apt-get install oracle-java6-installer $ sudo apt-get install oracle-java7-installer $ sudo apt-get install oracle-java8-installer $ sudo apt-get install oracle-java9-installer $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java We can easily install Oracle JAVA 6, Oracle JAVA 7, Oracle JAVA 8, Oracle JAVA 9 to Ubuntu & Mint systems via Webupd8 PPA. So whenever Oracle will release the update, you can simple upgrade via package manager. The Wepupd8 team didn’t add any binary for Oracle JAVA installation and they made a script to download the Oracle JAVA from Oracle website and install it straight away. Don’t install Oracle JAVA 9 in production environment because it may contain bugs and it might not include the latest security patches. Oracle JAVA 9 not yet released officially but we can install via PPA. It includes tools for JVM monitoring and tools commonly required for server applications. JRE stands for (Java Runtime Environment) which deploys Java applications on servers. JDK stands for (Java Development Kit) which helps developers for developing, debugging, and monitoring Java applications. JAVA comes with two packages (JDK & JRE). The Minions run after him, deciding he is the master they were looking for.ĭirector Pierre Coffin also voices the Minions. Scarlet and Herb, still alive, steal the crown again, only to be stopped by a young Gru, who fires a freeze ray at them and flees with the crown on a rocket-powered motorbike. She rewards Bob with a tiny crown for his teddy bear Tim, Stuart with an electric guitar, and Kevin with a knighthood. The Queen gets her throne and crown back. As the Minions mourn the loss of their leader, Kevin survives as he returns to his normal size. The missile explodes, seemingly killing Kevin, Scarlet, and Herb. Scarlet and Herb attempt to escape with her rocket dress, only for Kevin to hold onto it and get pulled into the sky. Scarlet tries to eradicate them by firing a massive missile, but Kevin swallows it. Kevin tramples through London, rescues his friends, and battles Scarlet, just as the other Minions turn up in the city. With the villains still searching for him, Kevin sneaks into Scarlet's castle to steal weapons and triggers a machine Herb was building, causing him to grow in size into a giant. Stuart and Bob are captured, while Kevin hides in a pub and sees Scarlet on television, who declares that she will kill Stuart and Bob if Kevin does not show up by dawn. Mistaking the accident for an assassination attempt, Scarlet orders the trio's execution and has other villains chase them through the streets of London during a thunderstorm. Undeterred, Scarlet imprisons Kevin, Stuart and Bob in a dungeon, where Herb attempts to torture the trio, but they escape with the intention to apologize to Scarlet at her coronation.Īfter making their way to Westminster Abbey, Kevin, Stuart and Bob interrupt the coronation by inadvertently dropping a chandelier on Scarlet. Enraged that someone else accomplished her dream of stealing the throne, Scarlet confronts Bob, who voluntarily abdicates the throne in her favor. During the subsequent chase, Bob runs into the Sword in the Stone and pulls the sword free to defend himself and his friends, removing the Queen from the throne and making Bob the new King. Scarlet's husband Herb supplies them with inventions to aid in the heist, but they are nearly caught while breaking into the Tower of London. Scarlet plans to steal the Imperial State Crown from Queen Elizabeth II, promising to reward the Minions if they succeed, but also threatening to kill them if they fail. They phone the rest of the Minions to get them to join. At the convention, they meet Scarlet Overkill, the world's first female supervillain, who unexpectedly hires them and takes them to her home in London. The next day they hitchhike a ride with the Nelsons, a family of thieves. The three journey in 1968 to New York City and go into a department store for the night they stumble upon a hidden commercial broadcast advertising Villain-Con, an Orlando convention for all villains. This prompts three Minions named Kevin, Stuart and Bob, to go out on a quest to find a new master for his brethren to follow. They are driven into isolation after firing a cannon at Napoleon while in Russia, and start a new life inside a cave, but after many years, the Minions become sad and unmotivated without a master to serve. rex into a volcano, letting a caveman get eaten by a bear, crushing a Pharaoh to death with a pyramid, and exposing Count Dracula to sunlight. Minions are small, yellow pill-shaped creatures which have existed since the beginning of time, evolving from single-celled organisms into beings which exist only to serve history's most evil masters, but they accidentally end up killing all their masters: rolling a T. A sequel, Minions: The Rise of Gru, was released in 2022 to similar success. It was a financial success at the box office, earning $1.159 billion worldwide, and became the fifth-highest-grossing film of 2015, the tenth-highest-grossing film of all time and the second-highest-grossing animated film of all time at its peak. It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the animation, voice acting, and score, but criticized the character development and humor, which some called unfunny and inappropriate. Minions debuted in London on June 11, 2015, and was released in the United States on July 10. In the film, the Minions search for their replaceable evil master after accidentally killing all of those in history. Minions stars the voices of Coffin as the Minions (including Kevin, Stuart, and Bob), Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney, Steve Coogan, Jennifer Saunders, and Geoffrey Rush as the narrator. Produced by Illumination Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures, it is the spin-off/prequel and the third installment overall in the Despicable Me film series. Minions is a 2015 American computer-animated comedy film directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, produced by Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and written by Brian Lynch. But still, the lack of proportion, alignment and visual hierarchy to the information, in all these view templates is incredibly low quality. I will not post it as a review (with stars) because I really believe these apps ARE good and I really hope they LOOK good in a near future. How hard is it to hire some real and talented designers to create amazing and professional looking templates to make the apps "look" as good as I know they "are"? What good is it to rely on user contributed templates if (apparently) only amateur and/or bad designers seem to give it a try? There's not a single one that looks even slightly "designed". And yes I tested them all, including every single extra listed in the site. How I wish the "Info View" in all these 'pedia apps was not ugly as hell. Delicious Library on the other hand is beautiful to look at (it has a truly designed interface) but it doesn't offer all the functionality of the 'pedias. I own licenses to both DVDpedia and Bookpedia but have never been able to really use the softwares, because the Info Views are so bad. I wrote this long winded review b/c before I buy an application I like to know pros and cons of competing software. Easy to import numerous books by 1 author. Saving interface is weird.ĭL- interface is wonderful. Program has some bugs to be worked out in reference to kindle books not being imported with author names. Imports books with the genre label filled in accurately. The interface is awesome, imports kindle books, and can catalog other items besides books. Librarian Pro could be a really great program over time. Cover is not real easy to navigate to quickly find authors names. Interface is little boring when not in cover view. I click on the link and acrobat opens the book automatically. Link books to book picture in the library. Huge Positives with bookpedia- (reasons I bought the software). I wish all 3 companies would get together and combine their talents to make an awesome catalog software. I own the latest Delicious library version and have been using the trial version of librarian Pro. I have been using this program for a few days. At the end of the play, she stands up to Higgins and leaves him, but he is confident that she will come back to him. Eliza desires independence but finds herself under the control of men like Pickering, Higgins, and her father. In Act Five, she insists that she really has changed and cannot go back to her old way of behaving or speaking, though Higgins thinks otherwise. It is unclear to what degree she really transforms by doing this, and to what degree she merely learns to play a role. She is a quick learner, and under the teaching of Pickering and Higgins she easily learns to act like a lady and pass as a member of the upper class. While not formally well-educated, she is quick-witted and is a strong character, generally unafraid to stand up for herself. First introduced as the flower-girl in Act One, and called variously Liza, Eliza, and Miss Doolittle, Eliza is the subject of Higgins and Pickering's experiment and bet. And all signal terminals adopt high-speed optocoupler isolation, enhancing its anti-high-frequency interference ability.Īs a professional device, it is able to drive 57, 42-type two-phase, four-phase, hybrid stepper motor. There are 7 kinds of micro steps (1, 2 / A, 2 / B, 4, 8, 16, 32) and 8 kinds of current control (0.5A, 1A, 1.5A, 2A, 2.5A, 2.8A, 3.0A, 3.5A) in all. The Arduino Pro Mini is a compact and versatile microcontroller board that is based on the ATmega328P microcontroller. Microcontrollers DC Motor Drivers Robot Controllers Stepper Motor. You can set its micro step and output current with 6 DIP switch. Arduino Pro Mini does not come with connectors populated so that you can solder in. The stepper driver supports speed and direction control. We will use it to control a hobby motor from a web browser. This board can be used as the 'brains' for all sorts of electronics projects. We’ll use a printed circuit board (PCB) made by LOLIN (formerly WEMOS), called a D1 Mini'. And it is able to output 4A peak current, which is enough for the most of stepper motors. We are going to run C++ on a very low-cost processor with built-in WiFi, the 'ESP8266'. TB6600 arduino stepper motor driver has a wide range power input, 9~42VDC power supply. It is compatible with Arduino and other microcontrollers that can output a 5V digital pulse signal. TB6600 arduino is an easy-to-use professional stepper motor driver, which could control a two-phase stepping motor. The 28BYJ-48 Stepper motor can be found for under 2.00 and the Arduino Pro Mini also under 2.00. According to Jaiswal, these mini motors require such a small amount of power that they can even be driven directly, at least in some cases, by an Arduino’s output pins. I can pulse a digital pin High/Low every 50 seconds (Edit: microseconds) for 1/16th of a step which the driver supports and it all works great. And TB6600 arduino is just what you need. system May 30, 2013, 12:36am 1 I've currently have an Arudino Pro Mini controlling a Stepper Motor via a A4988 stepper motor driver without any issues. The fast way to control a stepper motor is just using a stepper motor driver (controller). Warning: Don't power the Arduino mini with more than 9 volts, or plug the power in backwards: you'll probably kill it.Stepper motor is a brushless DC electric motor that divides a full rotation into a number of equal steps The motor's position can then be commanded to move and hold at one of these steps. The new version has the same pin configuration as revision 04. The new Mini (revision 05) has a new package for the ATmega328, which enables all components to be on the top of the board. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs). It can be programmed with the USB Serial adapter or other USB or RS232 to TTL serial adapter. Arduino Pro Mini 32 Mini is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328. The board has a connector that mates perfectly. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 8 analog inputs, and a 16 MHz crystal oscillator. The motor is commonly packaged with a tiny driver board based around the ULN2003 Darlington transistor array. The PRO MINI is a small microcontroller board based on the ATmega328, intended for use on breadboards and when space is at a premium. PRO MINI 5V 16MHz - Compatible with Arduino® |
